Who we are
YWAM Balut is a Christian missions community at 2439 Yangco St, Tondo, Manila, Philippines. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through ywambalut.org and when you contact us or give to the ministry.
We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). For visitors in the European Union we also respect the rights set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
Information you give us
When you email, call or message us on Facebook, we receive your name, your contact details and whatever you write to us.
Gifts
Online gifts are made on EquipNet’s website, not ours. We never see or store your card or bank details. We may receive your name, contact details and the amount of your gift so we can thank you and keep proper records.
If you give by bank transfer to our BPI account or by mail, we see the details that your transfer or letter includes.
How you use the website
If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. IP addresses are anonymized. If you decline, it does not run. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie.
How we use it
- To reply to your questions about visits, sponsorship, outreach, mission teams or partnership.
- To acknowledge gifts and keep the financial records the law requires.
- To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it (only with your consent).
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
We process information because you gave it to us for these purposes or consented to it, because we have a legitimate interest in running the ministry and its website, or because the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the website and the ministry, and only as far as they need it:
- our website host, which stores the site and its data;
- EquipNet, which processes online gifts under its own privacy policy;
- Google Analytics, only if you accept statistics cookies;
- authorities, when the law requires us to.
Embedded content
Some pages show content from other services: our Facebook feed on the Home page, YouTube films on the About page and a Google map on the Contact page. When you view or use that content, those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. Our consent banner keeps embedded content blocked until you accept it.
Photos and stories
Our pages share photos and stories of students, families and team members. If you appear in a photo or story on this website and would like it changed or removed, email media@ywambalut.org and we will act promptly.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Gift and financial records are kept for as long as Philippine tax and accounting rules require.
How we protect it
We use reasonable organizational, physical and technical measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information such as bank or card details by email.

These are your rights under the Data Privacy Act. Visitors in the European Union have similar rights under the GDPR, including the right to withdraw consent at any time.
You can change your cookie choices at any time with the consent button at the bottom of the screen. To use any other right, email media@ywambalut.org. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
This website is not meant for children to send us personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or ministry changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
