Student Sponsorship Ministry

The Student Sponsorship Ministry’s goal is to alleviate the redundant cycle of poverty by providing an opportunity for an education through sponsorship.

We believe that poverty stems not from a lack of money but from a lack of knowledge. Education has proven to transform lives, breaking generational poverty. By investing in education today, we can shape the future of our children. Many children in Smokey Mountain, for example, do not have the chance to attend school.

You can help change a child’s future by sponsoring their education through YWAM Balut. Sponsoring a child through elementary school costs $100 per year, high school costs $140 per year, and college costs $600 per year. Currently, YWAM Balut sponsors over 400 children in 17 locations throughout the Philippines, providing them with opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have.

Family ministry

The Family Ministry focuses on bringing healing, hope, and purpose to families in Smokey Mountain and other communities in Manila. Recognizing the family as the foundation of society, this ministry aims to influence families spiritually, starting with the parents and extending to the children. Through Bible studies for mothers and fathers of sponsored students, as well as other parents in the community, the ministry seeks to guide families toward discovering God’s purpose for their lives and fostering a stronger sense of unity and faith.

4-14 Window

The 4-14 Window program is dedicated to nurturing children spiritually and physically during their formative years. This initiative includes a weekly feeding program every Saturday, providing nourishment and care to young kids in the community. The program not only addresses immediate physical needs but also aims to introduce children to God’s love and lay a foundation for spiritual growth.

The Arise Ministry

The Arise Initiative focuses on empowering young professionals who have graduated from our Student Sponsorship Ministry to make a positive impact in their families, workplaces, and society.

With a vision to influence the seven spheres of society—family, religion, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business—the initiative provides mentorship, spiritual growth, and practical support.

Through Arise, young professionals are encouraged to integrate their faith into their careers and everyday lives, equipping them to bring about transformation and reflect God’s purpose in their chosen fields.

Discipleship Training School

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) focuses on its threefold ministry of evangelism, mercy ministry, and training. A key program in its training ministry is the Discipleship Training School (DTS), a six-month program designed to help participants grow in their relationship with God and discover their calling in His kingdom.

The program consists of two phases: a three-month in-house lecture phase focused on knowing God and a three-month outreach phase, where participants engage in evangelism, small group ministry, and church involvement, gaining hands-on mission exposure.

YWAM also hosts a Discipleship Training Week (DTW), a shorter event designed to provide participants with a glimpse of the DTS experience. These programs aim to equip individuals for their role in the building of God’s kingdom through learning and mission exposure.

evangelism, prayer, intercession and need-based response

YWAM-Balut is dedicated to interceding for the world and reaching out to those in need. The ministry conducts regular prayer and intercession throughout the week, focusing on various prayer needs. It also provides mission exposure opportunities in the Philippines, including street evangelism and one-on-one outreach in different areas of Manila. Additionally, YWAM-Balut organizes relief operations to support communities in times of need, embodying their commitment to sharing God’s love through action and service.

Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Ministry welcomes and hosts mission teams from around the world, providing a supportive environment to help them feel valued and cared for. By offering accommodation, logistical support, and a spirit of service, the ministry enables teams to focus on their outreach while building meaningful connections.
