Ongoing Ministry Updates:

Celebrating God's Work in 2025

We give all the glory to God for the incredible things He is doing in our midst! These past months have been filled with powerful encounters, healing, and growth within our community and team. Last March 15, 2025, our YWAM-Balut team returned to Magdalena, Laguna for Project 116. After beginning with a prayer walk in May 2024 and a DTS outreach in October 2024, we were blessed to reconnect with the community and hear testimonies of God’s faithfulness. New hearts were also touched through prayer, worship, and open-air evangelism. From April 15–19, we experienced a time of deep restoration during the Heartline Seminar led by Ate Rose Galano where God ministered healing and truth to each of us. As we close the school year, we praise God for His faithfulness to every student, especially our elementary graduates all of whom are moving up to the next grade! We remind them to commit their studies to the Lord and shine His light wherever they go. We are also grateful for God’s provision that allowed us to celebrate with a joyful feast, and for our faithful partners and YWAM-Balut team who made it possible.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” – Mark 16:15

To God be all the glory!

"A Life of Faith and Service: Honoring Kuya Rick’s Legacy"

He was a devoted servant of God, a faithful friend, and a compassionate leader who dedicated 25 years of his life to mission work with Youth With A Mission – Balut. His legacy is one of faith, love, and unwavering commitment to serving others, especially the marginalized and those in need.
Rick’s journey in the mission field was marked by a deep passion for discipleship and community transformation. He devoted himself to mentoring young leaders, equipping them to share the Gospel and to live out their faith in meaningful ways. Through his guidance, countless lives were changed, and many found hope and purpose in Christ. He was a man of action, believing that the love of Christ should not only be preached but demonstrated. His tireless efforts helped build bridges of hope in Smokey Mountain and beyond, ensuring that the light of Jesus Christ shone in even the darkest places. Beyond his ministry, Kuya Rick was a loving husband to Ate Ollie, a dear friend, a mentor to us here in YWAM-Balut, and a pillar of strength to those around him. His humility, kindness, and unwavering faith were an inspiration to all who knew him. He faced challenges with courage, always trusting in God’s wisdom and grace. As we say goodbye, let us not dwell in sorrow but rather honor his life by continuing the mission he so passionately embraced. Let us remember his example and strive to live with the same faith, love, and dedication that he so beautifully demonstrated. Our dear Kuya Rick has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, and he has kept the faith. Now, he is in the presence of our Savior, rejoicing in the eternal glory of God. You will surely be missed. Your legacy lives on in the countless lives you have touched.

Past events:

Years of Mission, Growth, and God’s Faithfulness

Throughout the past years, we’ve seen God move in incredible ways through the ministry of YWAM-Balut. We’ve hosted multiple Discipleship Training Weeks (DTWs) that have given participants a deeper glimpse into missions, welcomed teams from different YWAM bases around the world, and remained faithful in conducting regular evangelisms in our local communities.

Each season has been marked by lives transformed, hearts awakened to God’s love, and people stepping into their calling. From training schools to street outreaches, we continue to witness how God uses simple obedience to bring lasting impact for His Kingdom.

“The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:24
